  • Single Vineyard McLaren Vale Chardonnay From Tatachilla Subregion

  • Oaked McLaren Vale Chardonnay

Specifications:
Vintage: 2024
Source/Region:

McLaren Vale, South Australia

Grape Variety: Chardonnay
Cellaring: Drink now or cellar mid term
Bottle Top: Stelvin
Alcohol Content: 13.00
Standard Drinks: 7.70
Rating: 96
Tasting Notes:

Pale green to straw in colour. Green apples, almond, peach and grapefruit interwoven into French oak. Big Textured palate with apple, pear, peach and grapefruit flavours complimented by almonds and wonderfully obvious French oak influence. Drinking well now but will do so for years to come for those that enjoy an aged chardonnay.

Technical:

The fruit came from a single vineyard on Bayliss Road in the Tatachilla sub region of the McLaren Vale. The parcels were picked and crushed then fermentation occurred in a combination of oak and stainless steel. The oak component underwent daily lees stirring to build texture prior to the entire blend being transferred to oak. The wine was aged in older French oak for 9 months then racked before the selected components were blended for bottling under screw cap to retain the fruit and oak characteristics.
