Tasting Notes:

Floral, white peach, pear and lychee aromas. A soft rounded wine made in a juicy style with delicious apricot and lychee flavours followed by a hint of spice on a lingering finish.

Technical:

Harvested from selected sites in the Awatere and Wairau Valleys and fermented cool to deliver the classic clean flavours typical of Marlborough. An soft, elegant style made for enjoying with good food and good friends. Machine Harvested, Fermented cool in stainless steel with various yeast selections.

The fabulously aromatic nose shows fresh pear, mandarin and rockmelon characters with elegant floral lift. It is succulent and flavoursome on the palate, and displays excellent fruit purity backed by bright acidity. It is immediate and generous, and finishes long and juicy.

We drank this as an aperitif but found we had finished the bottle before the meal was ready. Savoury with slight acidity and lingering aftertaste means that one glass is never enough. While not an elite Pinot Gris this is good value and a tasty drop.

Blanc ages ago- so, let's try this Pinot Gris. Well- it's an outstanding wine- full of favour and lasting on the palate. The secret (for me) was just to SLIGHTLY chill it. Then the flavour is full to bursting. The result- cases later- is a wine that's great with food, wonderful on its own and unfortunately always running out!
