Tasting Notes:

On the nose is typically varietal, with pure aromas of melon, pears and citrus zest. The palate is supple and juicy, with luscious tropical fruit and a fine mineral thread, leading to a fresh and sustained finish.

A great match with seafood, chicken or on its own with a chilled peach.

Technical:

The fruit for our Pinot Gris is grown on the free draining river terrace of our home vineyard. Warm days and cool nights allow for a long ripening period guaranteeing ripe concentrated fruit while maintaining freshness.

The focus in the winery is to capture the pure fruit flavors that come from the vineyard, whilst adding complexity through our winemaking efforts to produce a multi-dimensional wine. This is achieved by tank fermenting the juice using yeasts that can ferment at low temperatures – preserving the essential fruit flavors.

Accolades & Awards:

93 Points Rated - Cameron Douglas Master Sommelier

"Flavours of fresh brown pear and pacific apple, there’s a gentle spice and lees quality with a biscuit oatmeal quality. Crisp and dry with a medium+ weight and light satin texture. Acidity adds a refreshing finish and the second and third sips showcase the spice and mouthfeel very well. Best drinking from 2024 through 2027" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Sep 2024
