Tasting Notes:

Pale gold, fine and lingering bubbles. Very aromatic, with fruity and fresh butter notes. Generous fruit on the palate, clear and clean citrus notes with green apple. Very fine with subtle creaminess - lingering finish.

Technical:

Made at the 'Les Caves de Landiras' in the heart of the Bordeaux wine-growing region. Ugni blanc is the most widely planted white grape of France, being found particularly along the Provencal coast, in the Gironde and Charente. It is also known as 'Clairette Ronde', 'Clairette de Vence', 'Queue de Renard', and in Corsica as 'Rossola'.

Excellent colour, balance, nose and taste. None of that metallic ping of the cheap want to be's. Will drink it on a more regular basis given that we all enjoyed it so much. Just to offer friends and family quality French bubbly is one thing, but to have it live up to its reputation is another. We all loved it.

Not so with this wine, it has a fine bead and is crisp but fruity on the palate making it very pleasant drinking. I rate it at four and-a-half stars for drinking but have to bump the rating up to five when considering value for money.
