Deep colour with the classic bouquet of briar Cabernet and unmistakably Margaret River this wine has a velvety and fine structured palate.

Technical:

Located in north of the Margaret River region our vineyard was planted almost 20 years ago. Low yielding and now mature. Machine picked grapes were fermented in static fermenter and pumped over daily. On dryness, the wine was run to seasoned French oak barrels. It was finally bottled after 14 months in oak and laid down for further maturation until release.

Wet spring and combination of rain events and warm temperature during summer made for long ripening in 2021. The humidity levels created challenging condition for some areas in the region. However, good draining and ventilated sites benefited from the slow maturation and provided fruit with good flavour and fine tannin in red varieties.

Accolades & Awards:

96 Point Rated - Rutherglen Wine Show 2023

Huon Hooke - The Real Review

"Deep, bright red-purple; reserved but attractive aromas, savoury dry underbrush and earthy, meaty notes overlying cranberry, the palate medium bodied and again savoury, with drying powdery tannins. Red fruits lead the palate flavours."

James Halliday Wine Companion

"Attractive plump ripe fruit with lots of mint and menthol plus baking spices. Rather soft and approachable with some grip to the tannins carried well by the mulberry and cassis flavours."
