Tasting Notes:

Deep vibrant garnet. Aromas of vanilla, plum and cherry with hints of savoury black olive. Fresh red berries and cherries complimented with tastes of cinnamon, earth and eucalyptus. The smooth, silky tannins give this Shiraz a dry, mellow finish.

Technical:

This wine is no shrinking violet or precious princess. It's adventurous, energetic and bound to keep you wanting to experience more.

The label was unknown to me as was the wine but the superlatives of GWD (and to be honest, the price) led me to take the chance. Glad I did, it’s a great wine, enjoyable straight from the bottle but responding well to decanting if you can be that patient. It’s on my list of ‘do it again sometime’.

It is a slightly sweet style with lots of fruity flavors, with plenty of the Barossa "punch". Have purchased many wines at double or triple the price that don't come anywhere near the quality or value of this wine. My first case was disappearing so quickly, I have recently purchased another. Great buy!
