The palate has a strong Grenache dominance with spicy and earthy red fruits and aromatic interest holding sway, the supple darker fruits of the Shiraz add real weight and texture to the mid palate and the finish while the Mataro brings a super lifted aromatic intensity of blue fruits and incense. Tannins are supple and generously structured and give length, ageability and freshness to the finish.
The 2022 Bethany First Village GSM is a vibrant and dense wine with a fine, compact nose of red fruits and sandalwood spice. Its strong Grenache dominance and supple Shiraz fruits provide weight and texture to the palate, while the Mataro adds an intense aroma of blue fruits and incense. Enjoy its supple tannins and fresh finish now, or age for a truly exquisite taste experience.

This is splendidly styled, showing dark plum, sweet cherry, olive, game and hazelnut aromas. The palate is equally attractive with succulent fruit flavours with excellent weight backed by silky texture and polished tannins. Beautifully rounded yet wonderfully structured with a lengthy delicious finish. At its best: now to 2034.
92 Point Rated - Dave Brookes James Halliday Wine Companion
A fresh-faced and fragrant blend of grenache, shiraz and mataro displaying ripe macerated plum, raspberry and red cherry fruits cut with hints of spice, ginger cake, jasmine, wildflowers, licorice, berry flan and earth. Just the right amount of juiciness and gingery spice on the palate, which shows pleasing freshness and a finish that fans out with pure dark and red fruits studded with spice and floral top notes.
