1x Reschke Armenta Coonawarra Shiraz 2016 - 14.50 Alc
This hand-selected parcel of Shiraz fruit delivers a medium-bodied, fruit-driven wine with complex notes of dark berries with spice and subtle oak notes. With distinctive florals on the nose and velvety tannins, this wine delivers an intense, yet elegant lingering finish.
1x Viking Odins Honour Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019 - 14.50% Alc
Dark crimson red with dark black core. Rich earthy characters with an abundance of black fruit followed by hints of chocolate, licorice, leather, black pepper and oak. This is a big traditional style of Shiraz, which we recommend is decanted and allowed to breathe prior to consuming. Black fruits are at the forefront here and an earthy character reflecting its age is also evident although freshness from the fruit and natural acid highlights its ability to age further with ease. The oak and tannin melt into the fruit and some more subtle hints of leather and just a touch of black pepper create further complexity.
1x O'Keefe Trail Grand Reserve Heathcote Shiraz 2015 - 14.50% Alc
The palate is densely layered, its long, textured and richly full bodied. Blackberry and cherry with forest floor almost earthy like characters. Well-structured its a powerful wine with epic length and fine tannins.
1x The Colonial Estate Richard Lander Old Vine Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019 14.50% Alc
A dense nose with red and black forest fruits, spicy plum, black cherry, dried fruits and pepper. A rich full bodied Barossa Shiraz. The wine has an array of characters with upfront plum, dark chocolate, dried figs, leather saddle and white pepper. Sweet Shiraz fruit surrounds a firm tannin backbone whilst a touch of earth and acid provides length and ensures the finish is long and voluptuous.
1 x Normans Peacock McLaren Vale Shiraz Cabernet 2016 15.00% Alc
Deep dark red colour, the bouquet of dark fruit and dried herbs and earth on the nose with hints of mocha and chocolate. The palate is full of soft dark fruit flavours when allowed to breathe, there is a natural earth character to the wine reminiscent of a Southern Rhone style blend. Blackberry, and blackcurrant in highly concentrated amounts, dark plum, liquorice all provide an opulent yet not overpowering feel. Spicy vanillin cedar, subtle earthy tobacco character and a touch of pepper.
1 x Mount Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge Shiraz 14.50% Alc
Red and black cherries, ripe raspberry, boysenberry and a lick of baking spice. Morello cherry, blackberries and raspberries along with a mix of cloves, cardamom and white pepper. Fine tannins and an understated length provided by a delicate acid line.
1 x Monolith Vintners Monolithic Old Vine Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 14.50%
A massive intense and enticing nose, the initial hit of exotic fruit once allowed to breathe will mellow. Black berry and dark cherry are the dominant character whilst varietal character of cassis is also very evident. The French oak influence is still evident despite its age and highlights the quality of the new large format oak used. Concentrated, tremendous texture and depth are hallmarks of this wine. The great richness which comes from black fruits flavours is immense, brooding and dense. The age of the wine is evident through notes of earth and leather saddle although the fruit is just so potent that they are just a side show. This style of wine requires decanting and time to breathe to soften prior to consuming although will be cellared prior to release the wine has the fruit, alcohol and tannin structure to ensure cellaring for many more years where it will continue to evolve.
1x Magarey Lane Glenroy Coonawarra Shiraz 2016 14.50% Alc
This delicious Shiraz is dark and focused, displaying concentrated notes of dark cherry, plum and red berry. With plum and magnolia on the mid palate, this sleek and layered wine has plush tannins and excellent depth of character.

1x Kellys Promise Reserve McLaren Vale Shiraz 2016 14.50% Alc
Deep crimson red to ink. Black fruit, lifted violets, kalamata olives, some spice and earth characters. Polished and rounded the mid palate has considerable weight with black fruit flavours, cassis, violets, olives, spice, game meat, tannin and oak notes. Muscular and powerful in its youth ensuring longevity. Drinking well as an aged release 4 years post vintage and will continue to drink well into the next decade post release to circa 2030 and beyond.
1x Kilikanoon Omen Shiraz 2017 14.50% Alc
Deep inky purple in colour. Aromas showing subtle notes of vanilla, blackberries, pepper and eucalyptus against an alluring background of liquorice and soft oak. Gorgeous and aromatic. Generously proportioned with a rich and smooth texture that fills the palate. Flavours of plum and blackberry give way to a softly spicy and heady mix of dark chocolate, pepper, mint and liquorice. A long lasting and velvety finish, elongated by the fine, powdery, slightly grippy tannins. Vibrant acidity ensures a fresh balance.
1x Shanahans The Reaper Barossa Valle Shiraz 2021 15.00% Alc
Concentrated fruit flavours of blackberry, plum, black olive, dark chocolate and earth. Allowing the wine time to open up will reveal a natural fruit elegance and perfectly engulfed oak flavours. 94 Point Rated - Campbell Mattinson Halliday Wine Companion
"It's spicy and well fruited but mostly it's an exercise in putting all the various components exactly where they should be. Everything here feels exact, and exacting. Red cherried fruit, black pepper notes, integrated cedar oak and drifts of assorted florals, all of which hone to a long, peppery finish. It's mid-weight at most and it's all it needs to be. This is the kind of wine that gives elegance its good name."
94 Point Rated - Ray Jordan Wine Pilot
"Beautiful, perfumed aromas greet from the start, cherry and dark plum with a spicy raspberry nuance. The palate is medium bodied and elegantly presented with those cherries and blackberry flavours emerging with a little sprinkle of pepper and dried herbs. The oak is well-weighted with the fine chalky tannins in support."

"Quite the dramatic name, is Cliff Edge. Could also be the name of an Australian private eye, and I’m something of a huge fan of the Cliff Hardy novels by Peter Corris. Anyway, that aside, average age of vines is now 25 years, and it gets 30% new French oak.Black cherry, raspberry, five spice, a little cedar oak. It’s medium to full-bodied, with plenty of cherry and forest berry fruit flavour, a fine dusty/peppery feel to tannin, quite fresh, with maybe something a little more savoury in the aftertaste, like black olive. The length is good also. It’s a good Cliff Edge, and also a rock solid expression of regional Shiraz."
92 Point Rated - Erin Larkin Robert Parker Wine Advocate
"The 2021 Shiraz Cliff Edge is rocky and purple on the nose with crushed granite, blackberry, white pepper and raspberry compote. Not hugely complex, but it is hugely satisfying. This is a concentrated, cool-climate Shiraz. It's a great (super) value at around $30 AUD. 14.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap."

"A marvelous example of Coonawarra Shiraz. It’s powerful yet so beautifully refined. Deeply concentrated spicy dark fruit characters burst from the glass. It is a plush and generously appointed wine of tremendous poise. A mix of French and American oak has been used perfectly, contributing to a wine that retains its life and energy through to that very long finish."
