Deep Garnet in colour. The first thing that hits the nose is a rush of toasted spices – peppercorn, cardamom and star anise – followed closely by dark fruit aromas of blackberry and blood Plum, with complex savoury notes of black olive, fresh coffee and warm spices layered with fine oak aromatics. The palate is rich and generous, with juicy dark-berry and plum flavours, complex earthy notes, mocha and spice. A smooth, textural mouthfeel is pulled together with a structural backbone that lengthens the palate with lingering fruit flavours, chocolatey tannins and notes of cedary oak.

Deep dark red and purple in colour. The nose in intoxicating with raspberry, licorice along with some subtle pepper, oak, and dried herbs. Full bodied palate which is highly concentrated with Raspberry, black olive, plum and licorice all feature with some dark chocolate providing the core flavours. Wonderfully integrated tannins then give the texture and balance the wine perfectly.

Deep rich and expressive bouquet with black fruits, dark chocolate and mulberries, plum and black olive. Full bodied and highly concentrated fruit with a really plush texture. The flavour concentration is powerful and yet matches with  its impeccable balance and elegance. The fruit flavours of plum and black fruits, all work within the framework, which is fleshy and opulent with a chocolate character shining on the mid palate. There is a lovely spicy note along with subtle hint of oak, but this does not dominate given the powerful fruit flavour. The tannins are velvety smooth which when allowed to open up and breathe illustrate the longevity possible with a long dark seductive finish which is in a word mouthwatering.

Dark/red to maroon centre with opaque purple and red flashes on edge. A highly aromatic and complex Shiraz with great natural fruit presence showing blackberry, mulberry, dark chocolate, plums, olives, earth, a touch of acid as well as oak. The palate has concentrated flavours of super ripe blackberry, spicy plum, dark chocolate, and pepper as well as obvious natural fruit acidity. The juicy, dark, tannins have a wonderful length and line, which ensures the wine, lingers for an extended period whilst the oak stands in place perfectly and allows the natural fruit acid and notes of pepper to give additional length. The wine is best left to breathe for an hour or two prior to consuming if drinking in next 2-3 years which will allow the wine to open up as it will be tightly wound up before age allows it to show its true beauty.

Bright and lively notes aromatic notes of blackcurrant and mulberry fruit follows through to the palate where they are joined by some classic black pepper spice and dark chocolate. The palate shows some early mouth-filling roundness before a subtle lattice tannin frame provides genuine structure, balance and control as the wine moves through the mouth.

1x Fu Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019 - 16% Alc
Deep dark black with crimson hues. A hedonistic style which needs time to breathe to show its true character. The fruit characters are blackberry and there is white pepper and some seductive spice. Some age is showing and is evident through the characters of leather saddle, coffee, and chocolate. Powerful fruit flavours are evident thanks in large part to the old vine material used there’s a blanket of tannin and oak which all work together to provide the backbone. Plum, liqueur, leather, earth, coffee and smoked meat all perform back up roles. A perfect balance between oak and fruit has been achieved and these characters appear to have perfectly melted into one another over time due to the use of high-quality oak and minimal Sulphur use. The tannin structure is long and velvety with the wine having an incredibly long finish.

1x Fu2 Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021 - 14% Alc
Introducing the little brother of FU, the 2021 FU2. FU2 is inky red/black in colour with vibrant purple hues. It has great intensity and depth which is typical of the FU style. The aroma is truly distinctive, with rich dark chocolate, berry coulis, leather, and cinnamon. The palate is textural with powerful fruit flavours and silky soft tannins providing a rich mouthful of wine. The balanced tannins perfectly complement the influential fruit characters. Dark deep red with crimson edge. Exceptionally concentrated and youthful currently, distinct nose of roasted herb, truffle and jammy black fruits, raspberries, blueberries and cassis. The body is round and voluminous with mouth fulls of  pure black fruit interwoven with some earth and roasted herb character adding a perfect side note whilst the finish is powerful and quite long and youthful it should only improve over the next 2 years and drink well for many years to come.
