McPherson Andrews Reserve Shiraz 2020

Colour Deep purple. Nose Intense fruit aromas of black cherry, currant and sweet spice. Palate Delicious ripe blackberries, plums and a hint of spice. Best consumed Now - 2030. Food Recommendations This big and bold red wine is perfect with red meat dishes. Char-grilled beef, Korean Barbeque or roast lamb love this wine and are a great match.

Conquest Coonawarra Sauvignon Blanc 2022

This enticing Coonawarra Sauvignon Blanc exhibits fresh up-front passionfruit with intense tropical fruits on the nose, carrying through to a rich and lingering finish on the palate. Ideal accompaniment to fresh seafood.

1838 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Intense deep purple with red rim. Traditional upfront fruit style of Cabernet Sauvignon with lifted aromas of ripe red and black berry fruit with a hint of blueberry. The aromas of coffee, chocolates and aniseed provide further complexity on the nose. Full and vibrant fruit flavours of dark red and black berry are the highlight whilst more profound notes of freshly cut plum which fill the mid palate. Soft tannins go well with the elegant under lying taste of oak to make this a very approachable and easy drinking Cabernet. A very good quaffing wine that would be perfectly matched with roast lamb stuffed with garlic and Rosemary.

Normans Encounter Bay Pinot Grigio 2022

This Pinot Grigio displays floral aromas with white nectarine, lemon and lime. Ripe flavoursome pear and white nectarine fill the mouth followed by crisp acidity balanced with lemon, lime and pear on the finsih.

Niche Merlot 2022

Vibrant crimson with red hue. Aromas of freshly crush black fruit, chocolate and a mild touch of oak and spice. The palate is round and generous. A succulent mid palate shows lovely plum and some cherry flavours with chocolate creating a rounder finish whilst being perfectly interwoven between natural fruit acid and tannin. Some spice ensures a fresh and lively finish.

Normans Regional Series McLaren Vale Chardonnay 2022

Fresh bright nose with grapefruit, lemon, and white peach whilst some natural apricot provides a wonderful touch. Juicy citrus drives this unoaked style whilst lees character provides a complexity not usually seen in this style. Vibrant and deliciously textured wine.

The Colonial Estate Expatrie Barossa Valley Semillon 2022

Fresh and bright in its youth with lemon and lime although a beautifully integrated hint of fresh cut grass gives complexity.A light to medium bodied wine it has lovely lemon and lime initially before some freshly cut grass, almond and a soft creamy weight and acidity combine prior to the flavoursome vibrant finish.

Technical:

McPherson Andrews Reserve Shiraz 2020

The grapes for this Reserve Shiraz were picked and crushed during the cool of night, thus ensuring the retention of varietal character, while modern winemaking techniques were employed throughout, all of which help to create the famous McPherson style. Fermentation took place in sweeping arm red fermenters, giving the wine a denser, richer colour and allowing for gentle flavour extraction. Careful attention was also paid to the oak selection for the Shiraz. This wine was aged on French oak for nine months, giving the wine a smooth and elegant oak influence.

Andrew McPherson established his winery in 1968 and is known for his famous Australian Shiraz. He has released this special Reserve Shiraz, made from the best grapes of the vintage, as the flagship wine for the McPherson Family Winery.

Conquest Coonawarra Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Conquest Wines is one of Australia’s oldest and most respected winemakers. For 150 years, since Jesse Norman planted his first vines, Conquest has built a reputation for premium varietal wines of elegance and finesse. The winemaking philosophy is to use only the best fruit from each vintage and region to produce wines of great style and intensity.

1838 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Fruit was sourced from several well-known growers in South Australia. The different sites allowed us to pick the fruit over a period of 2 weeks allowing each vineyard to develop differing characters to compliment each other. The result is intensely flavoured wines due to the care and attention these growers give them. This wine was fermented warm and received pump overs on a daily basis during their fermentation. Select parcels of the wine received aging with oak contact to add another level ofcomplexity without over powering the fruit.

Niche Merlot 2022

The fruit was sourced from premium vineyards located in South Australia. We picked in the cool of night when the fruit had reached its optimum ripeness then fermented on skins in static potters and rotary fermenters for a period of seven days to retain as much of the luscious natural fruit flavour as possible. Warm temperatures at the early stages of fermentation along with ta short period of post ferment maceration helped develop soft fleshy fruit and tannins while helping build structure. Following the pressing process, clarification and final blending the fruit was matured with select parcels having contact with old French oak.

Normans Regional Series McLaren Vale Chardonnay 2022

Picked at optimal ripeness at night then crushed and destemmed to the bag press. Pressings were separated from the free run. Cold settled then racked before a cool long ferment. Once fermented was dry and completed it was blended, stabilized and fine prior to filtration and then bottling early to ensure pristine flavours.

The Colonial Estate Expatrie Barossa Valley Semillon 2022

Sourced from an old vine vineyard in southern Barossa valley we picked in early hours of morning transported to winery to crush destem and then ferment the juice in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. Post ferment the wine was settled, fined, and lightly filtered then bottled.
