Tasting Notes:

This hand-selected parcel of Cabernet fruit delivers a rich and fruit-driven wine with flavours of morello cherry and blackcurrant, followed by hints of pepper spice. The wine provides a full-bodied structure, silky tannins, and excellent varietal characteristics – for that lasting impression.

Technical:

As cattle graziers in the Coonawarra since 1906, the bull has been part of the Reschke family heritage for over 100 years. Now focused on producing the perfect Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon, a commitment to quality has evolved, with vines hand pruned and managed to produce very low yields. This has ensured the berries harvested are rich in flavour and character. Softness and elegance of this wine have been enhanced by maturation in small French oak casks.

It has great depth of flavour and complements a range of foods from red meats to hearty casseroles as well as pleasantly pairing with a good cheese platter. I have shared a couple of bottles with friends who raved about it, but it is too good to share anymore, I will be enjoying the rest over the next few years.
