Tasting Notes:

Cliff 79 Riesling Gewurztraminer is a beautiful pale straw colour. On the nose there are subtle aromas of citrus, lychee, rose petal and a touch of spice. The wine is medium bodied, full of fruit flavours with a crisp, clean finis. It is a wine that typifies the Australian terroir

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ralphy from outstanding value. This bargain wine captures the amazing flavor of gewurzttraminer something another leading South Australian producer could not do. This wine has a wonderful spicyness to it making it perfect with chicken , Indian and Thai food. The only fault of this wine is that it lacks a little body and the flavour of the Gewurztraminer ends abruptly I'd say this is due to being blended with all that Riesling. I will certainly order another case of this when we get through this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by trev from Riesling with extras I am a fan of traditional riesling with its dry crisp flavour in its tall tapered bottle. I was keen to see how this would compare and I was not disappointed, it is a little more fruity and a smidgeon sweeter. The nose is also unusual and its not a riesling bottle but its all good.
