Tasting Notes:

Deep velvety red in colour. A big, aromatic Pinot Noir with dark berry, black cherry and underlying savoury characters. The palate is juicy and full-bodied, delivering succulent fruit flavours together with a subtle spicy complexity, finishing long and smooth.

Technical:

Vintage 2023 has been of exceptional quality and the resulting wines will be celebrated and reflected on for many years to come. With a lower yield due to a combination of frosts and cooler weather during flowering, the grapes ripened quickly resulting in a compact and quick harvest. Grapes were harvested from vineyards in the Wairau Valley and Awatere Valley in Marlborough, New Zealand. The juice was cold soaked prior to temperature controlled fermentation. The wine was aged in a mixture of stainless steel tanks and oak barrels over 10 months prior to filtering and bottling.
