A complex, elegant and creamy vintage Croser with a nose redolent of honey and cashew and an alluring citrus lift. The palate shows wild strawberry Pinot characters alongside a more buttery nectarine Chardonnay before a soft yeasty finish buoyed by green apple acidity.
Our winemakers are committed to making Sparkling wine using the traditional method, which has been practised in Champagne production for hundreds of years. This detailed process involves fermenting, maturation, riddling and disgorging all in the same bottle that will eventually reach the drinker. This technique is vital to achieve the ultra-fine bubbles and complexity of Croser sparkling wines. Our vineyards are hand tended to encourage delivery of a healthy, properly ripened grape crop. Each batch is harvested at just the right moment to deliver the proper balance of flavour, delicacy and freshness in our Croser sparkling wines. Hand harvesting into small crates minimises the chance of berries splitting and exposing juice to air or grape skins. Once at the winery, the grapes are chilled, ready for pressing.

"The expertise of Croser’s impeccably crafted vintage wines has filtered down to its bargain-priced non-vintage. This is a fruit-focused style of wild strawberries, golden delicious apples, wild honey and notes of mixed spice. A zesty acid cut and a fine bead make for a clean and refreshing aperitif style."

"64% pinot noir, 36% chardonnay. Plenty of attitude. Strawberry and sweet bread flavours put on a pretty impressive show. Serve this and it won't go unnoticed. There's sweetness here but the base material is good. Indeed all things considered it's pretty keen buying."

"Classy, seamless, finely crafted Australian premium."

"Amazingly this is a Traditional Method wine that's spent a minimum of 18 months on lees, its cuvée 64% pinot noir, 35% chardonnay and a 1% of “other” variety. Its dosage is 10g/L and it shows with a sweeter fruit sense, though a slight tonic bitterness in the finish cuts that, and a bit of length as well."
Huon Hooke The Real Review
"Light yellow; strange marzipan and macaroon bouquet: an odd lees character? Some oak suspected. An odd wine: the palate is light and youthful, soft and dry, with decent balance. The oak/lees/sulfide thing is off-putting. Fairly dry finish completes what is, on palate, a pleasant drinking bubbly.

"A new line from Petaluma. I tasted it alongside a raft of other sparkling wines and Champagne…. Rich peach fruit with strawberry accents and some biscuit – slight flor yeast character wafting about. It has strong vigorous bubbles and a roundness in the mouth – lot’s of fruit and flavour, not so much finesse. Solid sort of sparkling although not the best value."
