Here at the Mad Hueys we are beer enthusiasts.

These days however, if you tell someone you’re a beer lover, they think you only have eyes for fruity, hoppy, IPA’s and weirdo stouts. We have made it our mission to change that perception and take the Australian beer drinking public back to the days when having a beer meant having a lager.

We have have worked with local award winning brewer Michael McGovern to create the finest easy drinking lager on the market.

Whether you are drinking from the bottle, a glass or even from a shoe the Mad Hueys Captain’s Lager always goes down a treat.

We are a bunch of surfers, fisherman and beer drinkers from the Gold Coast who enjoy mainly surfing, fishing and drinking beer. 5 or so years ago three of us decided to enter a local fishing comp for a few laughs and we though that we would call our fishing team The Mad Hueys because it was what we had been calling each other at the time.

We fished terribly in the comp as always, but we filmed what we were up to and put the footage on instagram so people could have a laugh at our expense.Next year we turned up with team outfits and did the same thing again, but this time we fished even more terribly. For some reason though a bunch of people wanted to get their hands on our team gear and reluctantly The Mad Hueys clothing brand was born.

That brand is now stocked and shipped all around the world and we still can’t believe it.

These days we are all trying to live the good life as much as we can and beer is still a big part of that so we are beyond pumped to finally be able to release our beer into the market.
