Tasting Notes:

Pale ruby with a garnet hue. Dark cherry, wild rose and christmas cake spice. Bright and juicy strawberries, red cherries and tart cranberries fill out this rounded palate. A supple and tacky tannin binds the wine with a vibrant acid line, drawing the berry fruits through the finish.

Technical:

An introduction to the world of Yering Station, this wine stands as an exemplary Victorian expression. Produced with clean and modern winemaking techniques, it is silky, fresh and approachable. True to the regional style, it offers red cherries coupled with delicious savoury spice. A silky concentration provides richness and length.

"Some purple hues of the cherry berry fruit spectrum. A mulberry or two and a hint of lilac blooms. Oak spices dials up the aromatic offering with clove, wattle weed and potting soil. Cherry skin and dried olive on the palate, very sandy tannins and some decent medium palate weight. There is mindful consideration to make this wine more than just a light airy red fruited style and for the money you pay it's quite exceptional. A wine for pizza parties or equally a French Pissaladière would be ideal."
