Tasting Notes:

The wine has lifted aromas of spice, blackberry and plums, with a rich full-flavoured palate of ripe fruits and vanilla, supported by smooth tannins and excellent length. It tastes great now and will reward those with patience.

Technical:

We selected Shiraz from premium vineyards throughout McLaren Vale, vinified using a combination of fermentation styles and French oak to highlight the regional characteristics.

"Shiraz from McLaren Vale which has spent time maturing in French oak, this is a deep red/maroon hue. The nose exhibits notes of truffles, chocolate, earth, dried herbs, axle grease, licorice, black cherries, bay leaves and blackberries, along with a hint of graphite. Saline acidity, a supple texture, fine balance and a lingering finish is all part of the package. A wine of good length finishing with fine tannins, drink this over the next six to eight years."
