Lifted aromas of sweet dark berry fruit, a touch of cool mint overlaid with plush plum fruit. Rich plum flavours are complemented by a subtle coco notes and smooth structural oak. Plush, firm tannin and fresh acidity support the line and length of the wine to bring balance and vitality. Enjoy with venison fillet with traditionally roasted vegetables and blackberry and red wine sauce.

Technical:

Mark your milestones with the St Hugo range. Crafted for those who enjoy the finer things in life, these fine Australian red wines are lauded for their depth, intensity and ability to age gracefully.

Accolades & Awards:

93 Points - James Halliday Wine Companion

"Mint is the first impression on the bouquet, suggesting that the Coonawarra cabernet component is calling the tune, but the warmth and richness of Barossa shiraz won't be denied. Flavours are mostly in the blackberry and dark plum spectrum with some tar and earth, and there's a feeling of weightiness although it's soft-edged. Good drinking now, but no hurry."
