Tasting Notes:

A classically varietal Garnacha with a bold, red fruit signature complexed by a spicy, savoury edge. It’s medium-bodied but shows real flavour on the palate with a core of red-berried intensity complemented by a smooth tannin profile and a lick of cleansing acidity. Try with chorizo and chicken paella.

Technical:

Castilla La Mancha: The vast, high and dry plains of Castilla la Mancha comprise over 50% of Spain’s vineyards. The ancient soils and high altitude ensures the richly flavoured fruit maintains structure and tannin. Vineyards planted on the slopes of mountain ranges in the north and northeast add a degree of elegance to the wines. Totally de-stemmed before a long, cool fermentation with daily pump-overs to achieve optimum fruit and colour. The Wine was aged in a mix of seasoned French and American oak and 35% new, for twelve months. Blended and bottled with minimal fining before an additional six months ageing in bottle.

A gorgeous modern rendition, the wine shows Black Doris plum, sweet cherry, clove and toasted almond notes on the nose, leading to a silky-smooth palate that’s juicy and rounded. Soothing and comforting with plenty of tasty flavours. At its best: now to 2025.

A lovely and lively bouquet with a mix of baking spice and older barrel, some toasty qualities and fruit scents of plums and baked clay, some dusty vanilla and powdered clove. equally lovely on the palate with a satin texture and fine tannins, medium+ acidity carries all the flavours of red fruits and spices suggested in the bouquet. Balnaced and well made with texture and fruit appeal. Ideal summer early eveing wine and excellent with fare from Spain or your favourite local dining room. Best drinking from 2022 through 2026.
