Blush red with hints of purple. Lifted leafy and cassis notes from the Cabernet predominate the aroma profile, with touches of spice and red fruits from the Shiraz and Merlot. Unmistakably Cabernet driven, this is a plush wine rich in red fruit flavours, toasted oak and gentle sweeps of spice.

The 2016 vintage in the Barossa began with warm and dry weather, no disease pressure and one magnificent rain event at the end of January. This was perfectly timed for veraison of the grapes and flavour development. The grapes are individually vinified to the completion of fermentation. Following blending of the varietals, the wine is matured in new and old French and American oak hogsheads for 12 months. A blend of Cabernet (37%), Shiraz (34%) and Merlot (29%) sourced from vineyards scattered throughout South Australia’s iconic Barossa Valley floor.
