Tasting Notes:

The K1 Shiraz offers vibrant aromas of cool climate berries and spice. The palate is tight, concentrated and complex with notes of plums and cherries.

Technical:

The K1 Shiraz reflects the generosity of the K1 vineyard ‘terroir’ on the Shiraz variety. Spring and summer were cooler than normal with above average rainfall and the 2017 vintage happened much later than usual. The combination of those factors and dry weather for most of the harvest resulted in higher yields and excellent quality across regions. 30% new French oak for 18 months.
