Plum, blackberry, raspberry and olive encompass the palate, with notes of chocolate, white truffle and pepper spice to follow. Ripe tannins are retained, rewarding length is superb, and patience will pay dividends, with further development enhanced by careful cellaring.
The Kangaroo Island Basket Press Shiraz has been created using grapes grown on Cassini Vineyard near Cape Cassini. Hazyblur Basket Press Shiraz is world class from the onset, with classic deep ruby red Shiraz colour, aromas of blackberry, black cherry and Kalamata olive followed by restrained oak impressions, and a specific cool climate essence rarely found from Shiraz grown on the mainland. By gently basket pressing the Shiraz grapes, they retain all of the subtle flavour qualities, unique to Hazyblur Kangaroo Island vineyard.
