Ripe red berry and dark fruits with complexing oak spice and whole bunch lift. A complex palate full of rich ripe berry fruits with a bright acid line balanced by the rich tannins and oak.

Technical:

A cool and wet year across both regions, with rain between October and January hampering flowering in some sites. As a result, yields were significantly reduced. Cool ripening period produced wines with lower alcohol and higher acidity with great elegance and concentration. Tasmania 54.5% & Yarra Valley 45.5%.

History shows that Thomas Hardy first blended grapes from multiple regions in 1865. Hardy believed that blending grapes with different characteristics would complement and enhance the qualities of each region, so began Hardy’s rich blending heritage.
