Tasting Notes:

Deep dark purple in colour, this wine instantly impresses with aromas of raspberry and blackberry, complemented by spice, subtle vanilla and coffee bean. It's a full-bodied wine; the red fruits in the mid-palate are balanced with integrated fine, long tannins and hints of sweetness and spice from the oak. The soft integrated tannin structure gives the wine elegance and mid-palate structure. The multi-layered flavours and long lingering finish make this an impressive wine.

Technical:

The cool and wet conditions followed by warm conditions during summer resulted in a very late vintage. The extended hang time on the vine with increased canopy density due to the wet spring and summer allowed the fruit to attain excellent flavour ripeness, while maintaining good levels of natural acidity.
