Intense aromas of red fruits with balsamic hints of vanilla and spice. A well-balanced, rounded palate shows similar fruit and vanilla flavours with an intense finish.

Technical:

Aged for three years in the cellars of Bodegas Navalón in the small DO Valdepeñas, located at the heart of Spain. Bodegas Navalón has been the passion of the same local family for several generations. It specialises in producing classic, oak-aged Spanish red wines that are only released when they have reached the peak of perfection. The Tempranillo grapes were hand-picked in late August/early September from 30-year-old vines in stony Valdepeñas vineyards. The soil is clayey lime and the climate continental - cold winters and hot, dry summers. Fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 28C in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine was then matured for at least six months in French and American oak barriques.
