Lou Miranda Estate Leone Aged Tawny

The fruit was picked ultra ripe and concentrates in the beautiful warm Australian climate to produce an ultra luscious and generous wine. The fermentation is short (1-3 days), and fortified with premium spirit to stop fermentation and retain natural grape sweetness. This tawny has spent many years carefully maturing in big format oak (2500L- 5000L barrels) in our cellar. It is a blend of our best vintages and oldest barrels.

McWilliams 10 Year Old Hanwood Estate Grand Tawny

Hanwood Port is a smooth, rich and mellow tawny port. The average age of this blend is 10 years as opposed to 5 years for most other ports. These extra years maturing in small oak casks, combined with six generations of port-making skills perfected by the McWilliam family since 1877, are what make Hanwood such a fine old port. Deep red colour with brown hues. The nose displays complex intense aged rancio characters. The palate is filled with rich fruit and aged integrated spirit. Good length with a mellow soft tannin finish. 18.5% alcohol volume.

Hemera Estate Pegasus Tawny

The wines in this range are intended to be approachable styles of wine that are ideally suited to casual get-togethers and offer exceptional value for money. Whilst drinking well upon release they still have great aging potential and follow the Hemera Estate principle of ‘Intensity, Structure and Elegance’. Fruit driven and full of flavour these wines over deliver on quality.

This wine is Non-Vintage (NV), meaning that it has been selected frona a number of different parcels of wines over many years of age to make a consistent blend of style.

Berries the parcels are brought into the winery where they are gently crushed into the air bag press. Here the free-run and pressing juice are combined together abd trans- ferred into stainless steel tanks. The fermentation took place at the the cool tempera- ture of 10-14 degrees for maximum fruit retention. Once the desired sugar level is reached, brandy spirit is added to halt the ferment and the the wine is transferred to old fortified barrels for it’s long maturation.

Varietal composition: Various red varieties, predominately Shiraz/Grenache.
