1x Fu2 Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021 - 14.00% Alc

Introducing the little brother of FU, the 2021 FU2. FU2 is inky red/black in colour with vibrant purple hues. It has great intensity and depth which is typical of the FU style. The aroma is truly distinctive, with rich dark chocolate, berry coulis, leather, and cinnamon. The palate is textural with powerful fruit flavours and silky soft tannins providing a rich mouthful of wine. The balanced tannins perfectly complement the influential fruit characters. The flavours mirror the complex set of aromas, toffee and spice with a big berry hit. A truly distinctive FU style from an outstanding vintage will ensure this wine is still drinking well with the best Australia has to offer well into the next decade.

1x Monolith Vintners Monolithic Old Vine Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019 - 14.50% Alc

A massive all-encompassing nose but once allowed to breathe you will find this mellows. Dark plum and cranberry notes with leather saddle and earth which indicates the age whilst pepper, dark chocolate, and black currants all play a role here. The oak influence is obvious despite its age and highlights the quality of the new oak used. The palate is concentrated and straight up its no shrinking violet, offering up tremendous texture and richness with notes of dark plum, cranberry, black olive, saddle leather, alcohol and scorched earth. Brooding and densely packed, this style of wine requires decanting and time to breathe to soften prior to consuming although will be cellared prior to release the wine has the fruit, alcohol and tannin structure to ensure cellaring for many more years where it will continue to evolve.

1x Grant Burge Filsell Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021 - 14.50% Alc

Plush cherry chocolate fruit initially pounce from glass onto palate with firm and directional tannins that persist and drive long. There Is a savory element of damsum plum and spice that help lift the highly complex fruit matrix. The firm structure helps highlight the dark, dense and directional tannins that finish with chocolate and espresso. The flavours meld and continue long after tasting, providing a memorable tasting experience. The wine Is dense and unashamedly powerful but highly expressive of vineyard, region, vintage and variety.

1x Chateau Yaldara Lyndoch Valley Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021 - 15.00% Alc

Deep red in colour the 2021 Chateau Yaldara Lyndoch Valley Barossa Shiraz has aromas of cherries and blackberries. The palate is rich and displays complex characteristics that are long lasting. A perfect partnership between acidity and tannin whilst the oak development is hinged in the middle.

1x Kingsford By Tanunda Hill Barossa Valley Shiraz 2020 - 14.50% Alc

Deep red Brick in colour. The Aromas Blackberries, plums and dark mocha chocolate. The palate is Rich berries with subtle notes of black pepper and spice, Superbly balanced with silky tannins and great length on the palate with obvious French oak.

2x Einzellage Seppeltsfield Barossa Valley Shiraz 2022 - 14.00% Alc

Deep dense red brick in colour. Concentrated nose, pinpoint ripeness, and black fruits with incredible elegance. Full bodied sweet ripe flavours of dark berries and plum, it has lushness and the flavours fold over one another in masses, which create an array of gorgeous flavours. Chocolate, mocha, spice and even acid play a part here. The perfectly timed ripeness is what keeps grabbing you. Smooth grained tannin's come late and the finish is like Velvet.

1x The Colonial Estate Richard Lander Old Vine Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019 - 14.50% Alc

A dense nose with red and black forest fruits, spicy plum, black cherry, dried fruits and pepper. A rich full bodied Barossa Shiraz. The wine has an array of characters with upfront plum, dark chocolate, dried figs, leather saddle and white pepper. Sweet Shiraz fruit surrounds a firm tannin backbone whilst a touch of earth and acid provides length and ensures the finish is long and voluptuous.

1x Waller Wellman Kurtz Liaison Barossa Valley Shiraz 2022 - 14.50% Alc

Deep Garnet in colour. The first thing that hits the nose is a rush of toasted spices – peppercorn, cardamom and star anise – followed closely by dark fruit aromas of blackberry and blood Plum, with complex savoury notes of black olive, fresh coffee and warm spices layered with fine oak aromatics. The palate is rich and generous, with juicy dark-berry and plum flavours, complex earthy notes, mocha and spice. A smooth, textural mouthfeel is pulled together with a structural backbone that lengthens the palate with lingering fruit flavours, chocolatey tannins and notes of cedary oak.

1x Viking Odins Honour Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019 - 14.50% Alc

Dark crimson red with dark black core. Rich earthy characters with an abundance of black fruit followed by hints of chocolate, licorice, leather, black pepper and oak. This is a big traditional style of Shiraz, which we recommend is decanted and allowed to breathe prior to consuming. Black fruits are at the forefront here and an earthy character reflecting its age is also evident although freshness from the fruit and natural acid highlights its ability to age further with ease. The oak and tannin melt into the fruit and some more subtle hints of leather and just a touch of black pepper create further complexity.

2x Viking Grand Barossa Valley GSM 2021 - 14.00% Alc

Deep purple in colour, with blackberry, plum and a burst of red cherry, accompanied by spice and white pepper aromas. The palate is a wonderful combination of red fruits and savoury undertones. Smooth tanins make for easy drinking with a soft lingering finish.

Accolades & Awards:

Grant Burge Filsell Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021

95 Point Rated - Huon Hooke The Real Review
Very deep, bright, youthful purple colour; the nose is a mite subdued, reserved but latent, with some graphite and licorice touches, while the palate is very full-bodied and firmly structured, with mouth-coating, cheek-sucking tannins that bode well for its future. Loads of tannins but they're good tannins. Dense and concentrated, a terrific cellaring prospect.

95 Point Rated - Aaron Brasher The Real Review
Deep, dark and inky in the glass, opaque. Dark aromas of plum, mulberry, iodine, graphite, spice and oak. Big, rich, dark and powerful. Intensely flavoured with plum, mulberry, liqueured chocolate, sweet spice and oak. Long, layered, mouth-fillingly opulent, with great power and balance. Archetypal Barossa shiraz.

92 Point Rated - Dave Brookes Halliday Wine Companion
Deep crimson with aromas of blackberry, macerated plums, boysenberry and kirsch with hints of baking spices, dark chocolate, earth, pepper, violets, olive tapenade and chocolate-dipped cherries. Full bodied with dabs of creamy vanillin oak on the palate, tight, fine sandy tannins and a finish that trails away, showing notes of macerated summer berry fruits, spice and earth speaking truly of its regional origins.

Chateau Yaldara Lyndoch Valley Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021

96 Point Rated & 5 Stars - Sam Kim Wine orbit

"Wonderfully fruited and enticing, the bouquet shows black/blueberry, rich floral, vanilla, hazelnut and cocoa notes, leading to a sumptuous palate that's filled with rich fruit intensity backed by silky texture and layers of polished tannins, making it delicious and hugely appealing. At its best: now to 2040. $90.00. Feb 2024."

93 Point Rated - Ned Goodwin Master Of Wine

"An intriguing, fuller weighted wine that successfully meshes a potpourri of dried nori, violet, boysenberry and clove, suggestive of a contemporary expression of Australian shiraz, with nostalgic riffs of cocoa nib, liquorice back strap and beef bouillon. The oak, a little aggressive, needing time to nestle. Fortunately, time  is something that this wine has on its side."
