Vibrant dark black ruby core with a bright purple red hue. An overload of aromas, chocolate and licorice spice jump out of the glass, followed by intense dark cherry and blackberry, the backbone is intertwined perfectly oak, whilst white pepper, smoked meat and cedar provide further depth of aroma. The palate in big and bold, there’s rich fruit up front, which leaps from the glass. There is chocolate, black berry and cassis with a great acidity that gives length, which keeps the dense fruit impressively in balance. Dense and mouth filling, the finish goes on and on. A big, bold, chunky style of Barossa Valley Shiraz the way it should be.

Amakira Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2016
Shiraz fruit from a Single Vineyard was crushed immediately after delivery to the winery. The skin and juice mix is allowed to warm naturally over several days after which it begins fermentation. Fermentation is held cool which helps to retain bright primary fruit characters in the wine. Following ferment, the wines are carefully pressed, separating them from the skins. The wine is then run down to oak barrels for maturation, before being blended, and then bottled.
Walker Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016
This Sauvignon Blanc brings you all the flavours and aromas you love about New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Ripe gooseberry notes with passionfruit tones and simply wonderful acidity to carry the palate through to its trademark crisp, clean finish.
The Colonial Estate Exile Barossa Valley Shiraz 2014
Ink like colour with purple edge. Alluring bouquet filled with liquorice, blackberry and dark plum fruit with layers of fennel spice and Smokey oak. Full bodied and highly concentrated fruit with a really plush texture. The fruit flavours of blackberry, dark plum all work within the framework, which is fleshy and opulent with a licorice character shining on the mid palate. There is a lovely spicy note along with subtle hint of fennel and oak. The tannins are velvety smooth which when allowed to open up and breathe illustrate the longevity possible with a long dark seductive finish which is all interwoven between a backbone of oak and tannin perfectly.
The Colonial Estate Exile Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Deep purple colour with crimson/violet edge. The bouquet illustrates how both power and beauty can coexist with varietal characters of rich vibrant blackcurrant fruit infused with mint, violets and olive. Wonderful density and depth to the aromatics, which reveal a soft inkiness and subtle hints of perfectly integrated French oak. Fruit driven and intense varietal characters with purity being a resounding feature, in fact we believe this is a best vintage Exile Cabernet Sauvignon we have ever produced continuing on a string of good vintages in the Barossa for Cabernet Sauvignon in particular. Blackcurrants, plum and a hint of violets, which shows a serious wine with complexity and elegance. The solid foundation is built around this pure fruit core while the oak is well integrated and compliments but doesn’t dominate which is the key to showing the varietal and elegant characters possible in such high quality Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Well-rounded smooth tannins, with cassis, currants and mulberries providing a finish, which goes on and on.
Goose Valley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Fu Barossa Valley Shiraz 2014
This wine is sourced from a single old vine vineyard from what we consider one of the Barossa Valley’s finest growers. 2014 was another standout vintage despite challenging conditions. It gave us the benefit of perfectly, ripened fruit as we picked on berry flavour ripeness prior to a large rain event. The smooth flow of vintage allowed us to select specific fruit parcels and allowed us to define the wine as much in the vineyard as the winery. These grapes are brought into the winery, and crushed into old vats where the fermentation is initiated by “wild” yeasts found on the grape skins. Careful extraction and short post fermentation maceration is followed by soft pressing. The wine is transferred into brand new oak barrels where the malolactic fermentation is completed before racking and maturation for 36 months in barrels. A careful assemblage and barrel selection is followed by minimal filtration and bottling.
The Derek Victorian Shiraz 2015
Sourced from premium vineyards across Victoria’s premium viticultural sub regions. The fruit was crushed then underwent cold macerating. Fermented in open top fermenters with regular pump over’s to extract both colour and tannin. Following another week of maceration the dry free run is drained to tank. The skins are then pressed and the pressings transferred to the same tank, the wine is then racked with select parcels going into barrel. The wine is aged in older oak hogsheads then bottled after maturation with minimal fining and filtration.
Lindsay Park Barossa Valley Shiraz 2016
The fruit for this wine was picked over 2 weeks from select blocks offering different flavour profiles ensuring a range of fruit characters and blending options. We crush, de-stem and leave on skins in open top fermenters for 7 days. A slow ferment then occurred at cool temperatures, the wine was pumped over to ensure fruit intensity. Once fermentation was completed the wine was pressed into new and old French and American barrels. The wine spent 12 months in oak maturing then under went final barrel selection prior to bottling with minimal filtration.
Lindsay Park Eden Valley Riesling 2016
The fruit for this wine was picked over a week period from a single vineyard in cool sub region of the Barossa Eden Valley ensuring a range of fruit characters despite being from a single location. The fruit was harvested in the cool of the night and rapidly transported to the winery. After crushing and must chilling, the free run juice was drained and clarified with minimum skin contact. This juice was then cool fermented at cool temperatures with selected wild yeast to enhance the natural fruit flavours. The wine was bottled young to retain the fruit flavours then aged in bottle prior to release.
Amakira Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2016
Deep and dark with red brick notes and ruby edge. Concentrated aromas of ripe berries enhanced by subtle notes of cassis, dark chocolate, spice and toasty oak. Intense yet elegant with concentrated mouth filling flavours of exotic red fruits balanced with velvety soft tannins and toasty oak derived from structured oak maturation.
The Colonial Estate Exile Barossa Valley Shiraz 2014
The bulk of the vines are dry grown old vines, which are pruned severely and receive two runs of green harvesting finally producing one tonne to two tonnes per acre. Exile grapes are then hand picked and the grapes sorted. The wine is fermented in vats after extreme cold maceration. The wines have their malolactic in new French oak, and are thereafter in the same oak for 24 months prior to bottling with minimal filtration and then further aging in bottle.
The Colonial Estate Exile Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Sourced from a single vineyard high in the Seppeltsfield sub region of the Western Barossa. The vines that make up Exile were pruned severely and as a result of this and minimal water they produce extremely small yields under 2 tonne per acre. Exile grapes are all hand selected in individual batches by winemaker and vigneron. The grapes are harvested then transported to the winery where they are de-stemmed and crushed individually to small static fermenters. Fermentation was brought on by the use of select yeast strains and the temperatures peaked at 28 degrees before chilling back to 20 degrees for the completion of fermentation. The fermenters were pumped over 3 times daily to ensure the perfect amount of colour and tannin was extracted from the skins. A small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon was allowed to stay on skins for a week of additional maceration after the ferments were complete. The batches were then pressed into new French barrels where they under went malolatic fermentation and are then aged for 18 months before final barrel selection, blending and bottled with minimal filtration.
Goose Valley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016
Each individual block in our Goose Valley vineyard is carefully monitored for optimum sugar and acid levels, with a dedicated harvesting crew on hand ready to pick when these levels are meet. Once at the winery the grapes are pressed into stainless steel tanks for cold settling, before being gently racked and inoculated with select yeasts chosen to naturally enhance the aromatic and avour pro les of the wine. Fermentation is carried out at cool temperatures allowing the wine to retain its aromas; with each batch fermentation typically lasting around 21 days. After fermentation is complete the wines are left to settle on their yeast lees for a short period before being racked again into stainless steel tanks for maturation. Once blended the resulting wine is stabilised and altered – without the need for fining, and bottled in mid-July to capture freshness in the bottle.
Made to drink upon release while the fruit flavour is at its most fresh and vibrant although will develop more complexity over the short term.
