TASTING NOTES
Deep, dark, plum with a crimson rim. Bright plum, blueberries and raspberry fruits rush you initially on the nose with more complex aromas of aniseed, leather and dark bitter chocolate adding depth.
The palate displays vibrant and rich flavours of plum and raspberry fruits, which are delicately infused with dark chocolate and aniseed flavours that build and fill the mouth.
The mid palate is fruit driven whilst there is a superb balance with fine cedary oak and textural tannins providing almost seamless line and length.
The fine tannins achieved help this wine deliver wonderful power, balance and style.

Since its first vintage some of the biggest and most influential wine reviewers around the globe have given Songlines McLaren Vale Shiraz world class reviews including Decanter Magazine christening Songlines "a superb wine" and "the Latour of the McLaren Vale" whilst The Weekend Australian says "The wines are excellent".
As some of the world's leading winemakers sat in a French Château, a truly international dream was formed. Their mission was to carefully seek out and select the highest quality grapes in Australia and produce an innovative and powerful wine that embraces all of the greatest secrets of "Old World" winemaking with intoxicating Australian personality.
It was from this meeting that led them to vineyards in McLaren Vale with some over 110 years old. It was also from that meeting where Songlines McLaren Vale Shiraz was born.
Produced originally for the UK and USA market the first vintages of Songlines McLaren Vale Shiraz were sold out on release and were highly sought after internationally by the world's finest sommeliers and wine connoisseurs.
