ACCOLADES
"A nice little package…Quite light, first thing I get across is a little bit of a marzipan fruit coming through, a little pear which is pretty, quite floral too and a little bit of white flower thing, I like this nose... A little hint of sweetness, which is common for Prosecco… A little white minty leaf thing on the mid palate, which I think is spectacular, like red and white candy, very clean good acid and good structure… Very interesting. I like this, it is out and out good; very, very pleasant on the palate… For $10 this is 'stupid' good… this is brilliant!"
Gary Vaynerchuk, Wine Library TV
"This year, total Prosecco production is poised to match Champagne at 1.3 million cases, according to Neilson, the advertising and research company, and may just slightly out space the storied French bubbly. That is why this quiet corner of North-East Italy is the Wine Enthusiast 2011 Wine Region of the Year."
Monica Larner - Wine Enthusiast.
TASTING NOTES
Boasting a beautiful nose reminiscent of marzipan and white flowers, the wine leads into peach notes and brioche on the palate. fantastic value for a sparkling wine.

TECHNICAL
Each year, the editors of Wine Enthusiast Magazine honour outstanding achievement in the wine world, in that given year and over time. Wine Enthusiast wine region of the year award for 2011 went to Prosecco.
"Prosecco demonstrates that some categories do flourish despite hard times. This perky, no-fuss Italian bubbly has reached such popularity that production is predicted to outpace Champagne. Producers have reprioritized their vineyard sites and quality standards to pave the road for a new era."
"Forget everything you think you know about Prosecco. If you think Prosecco is a grape, you are almost right. If you think Prosecco is a region, you are almost right. If you think Prosecco is a single style of Italian sparkling wine - again, nearly correct.
What can't be debated is that the wines emerging from Prosecco Superiore DOCG and Prosecco DOC make up the hottest category in wine over the past few years. At a time of crisis, when growth has virtually stalled, the Prosecco category soared from 45,000 cases sold in the U.S in 2007 to 750,000 cases in 2009.
Prosecco is the grape variety behind the eponymous sparkling wine of the Veneto region in north-eastern Italy, and Get Wines Direct are the first outside of the USA to stock this wine.
'Italy's refreshing Sparkling wine has redefined the category and introduced many younger devotees to the joy of bubbles.'
