The Rowella Estate Tasmanian Pinot Noir 2025 is crafted in a fresh, vibrant “drink-now” style, showcasing the purity and charm of cool-climate Tasmanian fruit. Picked at moderate sugar levels to capture its bright strawberry and cherry characters, the fruit was de-stemmed and fermented on skins with aromatic-enhancing yeast strains to maximise fragrance and varietal expression. Maturation in tank preserved the wine’s lively freshness before bottling, locking in its youthful energy and unadulterated fruit profile.
In the glass, it shows dark cherry hues with youthful purple edges. The bouquet is beautifully lifted and highly aromatic, bursting with lavish notes of fresh cherry, strawberry and a gentle touch of spiciness. The palate is juicy and fruit-forward from the first sip, delivering ripe cherry, raspberry and delicate strawberry that glide effortlessly across the front palate. Mid-palate spice adds welcome depth, while the tannins remain supple, soft and silky-smooth, giving the wine a plush texture. Balanced natural acidity provides a clean, lively kick on the finish, making this an irresistibly drinkable expression of modern Tasmanian Pinot Noir.
This style is delicious slightly chilled and pairs perfectly with charcuterie boards, roast duck pancakes, grilled mushrooms, salmon fillets, wood-fired vegetarian pizza or soft cheeses such as brie and taleggio. Its freshness and bright fruit also make it an excellent option for casual mid-week meals or relaxed outdoor dining.
92 Point Rated - Russell Gallagher Vinomasters
"Pale ruby with luminous clarity. Lifted aromatics of raspberry, cherry blossom and soft spice with earthy nuance. The palate flows showing layered red fruit supported by bright acidity and satin-fine tannins. Texture is supple and elegant, with savoury undertones emerging through the mid-palate. Structural tension remains gentle but precise, carrying the wine into a long, graceful finish with lingering spice and mineral lift. An elegant and composed Tasmanian Pinot."
